Sappho Bust is a special piece in the Drag&Drop selection, under the Bust category, creating a strong focal point for home, office, display window arrangements, set design, and art-focused living spaces.
The Head of Sappho, a Roman Period portrait example, belongs to the poet Sappho, who was born on the island of Lesbos (Mytilene). She is one of the greatest lyric artists of ancient Greek literature. Her poems mostly dealt with the theme of love. 182 of her poems have survived to the present day. All of these poems have reached us through recent historians, literary figures, and poets. It is suspected that some of the poems completely belong to someone else, and some have been altered. According to a legend, she committed suicide by throwing herself off a cliff after being rejected by the man she loved.
She is an artist who still attracts great interest in art circles. It is a product you can use for decorative purposes in film, TV series, and commercial projects, artistic events, and in homes and workplaces.
