Rodin Torso is a special piece from the Drag&Drop selection, categorized under Torso; it creates a strong focal point for home, office, display arrangements, set design, and art-focused living spaces.
French sculptor François-Auguste Rodin was born on November 12, 1840, in Paris. He developed an interest in sculpture while attending a private drawing and mathematics school called La Petite École (The Little School). His first exhibition was held in Belgium in 1871.
Rodin preferred humanism in his works. Adding dramatic tension to sculpture, and infusing intense emotions, human tragedy, and passions are elements that set Rodin apart. Rodin's sculptures are expressive. While grappling with the problems, techniques, drawings, and forms specific to sculpture, he never omitted the personalities and stories he created.
